IFC Executive Board ElectionsWednesday, November 28th at 7:30 - Location TBDIFC will be holding its annual Elections for its Executive Board on November 28th. Any member of the 27 IFC fraternities is elegible to run.

Election Meeting ProcedureNominationsNominations were opened at the IFC meeting prior to the Elections Meeting. Nominations for each position will remain open until speeches for that position have begun (e.g. Someone can still be nominated for Vice President after the completion of the President election but prior to the beginning of the Vice President speeches.
Further nominations can be submitted via email to dan_eads@mit.edu. An individual may be nominated for more than one position. An individual’s remaining nominations will automatically be withdrawn if an individual is elected to another Exec Board position.
Election OrderPositions will be elected in the following order: President, Vice President, Judicial Committee Chairman, Risk Manager, Recruitment Chair, Program Development Chair, Executive Assistant.
Speeches & Q&A period (Q&A occurs individually immediately following each nominee’s speech):Speeches will be given in reverse nomination order. The posted nomination list is nomination order; therefore, speeches for each position will begin at the bottom of the list (e.g. If there are currently 5 people nominated for President, then the fifth person listed will speak first followed by the fourth, etc.)
Nominees for President, Vice President, & Judicial Committee Chairman will be given: 5 minutes for speeches & 3 minutes for Q&A
Nominees for Risk Manager, Recruitment Chair, Program Development Chair, & Executive Assistant will be given: 3 minutes for speeches & 2 minutes for Q&A
DiscussionDiscussion will occur based on the presence of a motion from the body for discussion only after all speeches and Q&A periods have been completed.
VotingPaper ballots will be provided. They will be collected and counted by the current President and Vice President before speeches for the next position begin.
